Tanya: I’m an Australian/Balinese vegan mama living in Bali.
How would you describe what you do?
Tanya: I create vegan statement tee’s that spread the message in a gentle and fun way that inspires others to live kinder lives.
Sadhana means conscious spiritual practice, tell us about what you do everyday to make your life awesome:
Tanya: I love being in nature, this makes me feel so connected and grounded. Being kind to others and doing kind acts throughout my day when ever possible is also a way that makes my life awesome.
What’s your favourite food at the moment?
Tanya: I’m loving noodle soups at the moment. Pho is my fave. All the flavours and how light you feel after it. I want one now. You’ve started my craving again haha
Why are you vegan?
Tanya: I want the world to be a better place. I see the suffering and being vegan is something so simple that has such a positive impact and is a very powerful way to lessen the suffering in this world. It’s also a diet that makes me feel the best I’ve ever felt and it’s kind to the planet too. So many benefits!
Can you share with us your top tips for transitioning to a wardrobe full of ethical fashion?
Tanya: Support ethical brands. Give away non-vegan items such as leather, wool, silk etc and replace them with vegan versions that use vegan materials such as cotton, bamboo, canvas.
Tell us a secret:
Tanya: When I first went vegan I would cry when ever I saw meat.
How do you balance your work and family life?
Tanya: I’m good at recognising when I’m over doing it at work, I never used to be. Now I always try to be aware of it and make sure I take time for my family.
What are your top tips for getting your kid to eat their veggies?
Tanya: Eat them yourself and make them tasty. My boys see me eating yummy healthy food and love it so they can’t help but join in. Also experiment with different recipes until you find some they love.
If you could inspire others to take action in order to create a better world, what would you encourage them to do?
Tanya: Firstly I’d encourage them to go vegan because vegan is something so simple that is a powerful way you can create a better world. Then I would say to think of a cause you are passionate about. Think of what you love doing and your strengths and use them to raise awareness or get in touch foundations to see how you can offer help.
